Start at the station and take Via Maregno to the old church, turn left into Via Spineid and continue until Montecatini. Cross the bridge and turn right to the sports and leisure centre. Pass it on the left and go straight forward until Via Montetrumes in the middle of orchards.
Continue towards Ciardes and take the first turning on the right at the „Sandmühler“ bridge and cross it. Continue on your left along the Adige River and enjoy the wonderful view of Ciardes, Colsano, Castelbello and their castles.
Pass the tourist office, keep straight on until the bridge and return to your starting point. (If you want, you can take a short cut at the bridges in Colsano or Ciardes.)
Peculiarity: This route is very suited for endurance runners or as a marathon training route. (several places for eating and drinking)

Description: Ideal in spring, summer and autumn. Start at the station and take Via Maregno to the old church and then Via Spondigna until Montecatini. Cross the bridge and turn right to the sports and leisure centre. Pass the outdoor swimming pool and continue on the forest road towards Linthof and than go right. Follow the Panoramaweg marking (very steep at the beginning, but then pleasantly up and down) until you reach the centre of Lacinigo. Take the western lane at the fountain and continue through the orchards until you reach Maragno to return to the starting point.

Start at Castelbello station, go along the Adige river until you reach Stava and enjoy the wonderful view of Reinhold Messner’s Juval Castle.
Go to the centre, turn left at the church and take this steep path (no. 1 – 280 m of difference in altitude) to the Schlossbauer. There is the possibility to make a short detour to Juval Castle and the Schlosswirt restaurant. Follow the Senales irrigation channel path with a wonderful view of Val Venosta and its fantastic mountain world and then take path no. 3B to reach the centre of Ciardes where you first take the main road until the Raiffeisen bank. Then turn left, pass the „Plattermühle“ mill, go to the state road and return to your starting point. (several places for eating and drinking)

Start at the parking of Ciardes and go towards the centre of the village. At Pizzeria Sonne, you first go right and then immediately left to pass the graveyard. Take Via Garl and then turn to follow the signs for Sonnenhof Juval. Continue on the irrigation channel path until the Sonnenhof and then go towards Stava until you reach the junction. Continue on the Stava irrigation channel path until the Falzrohrho farm, pass Hotel Himmelreich and go to the centre of Ciardes.
Take the main road until the Raiffeisen bank, turn left, pass the „Plattermühle“ mill and return to your starting point. Difficult tour with gorgeous views of Val Venosta.
Village tour (Castellbello- Colsano- Ciardes)

Start at the centre of Castelbello and go uphill to Rione ai Tre Canti that takes you through the Köfelgut (private property) and then to the Latschander irrigation channel path. Go eastwards, cross the road after app. 250 m and follow the irrigation channel path until above the village of Colsano. Take the path on your left and go uphill until you reach a forest road embedded in beautiful chestnut groves. Continue on path no. 3 (Senales irrigation channel path) until Ciardes where you can either take the first turning into Via Freiten or continue to the next junction. Pass the farm on your right, follow Via Maso to the centre of Ciardes and take Via Krebsbach to the state road. Continue on the sidewalk until you reach Via Romana. Cross the village of Colsano, go until Via delle Querce and turn right into Via Winkel to return to your starting point. (There is the possibility to make a short detour to the ruin of Hochgalsaun or to the Kasten manor).
Latschander irrigation channel path (circular route)

Start at the village well and go westwards towards Kastelbell Castle by crossing a small bridge, pass the castle and take the steep path uphill until you reach the Latschander irrigation channel path. Follow this path (at first through marvellous vineyards) until Laces and leave it to go down to the roundabout. Cross the state road and go to the valley station of the San Martino cable-car. Turn left before the railway crossing and take the new bike path along the Adige river through the so-called „Latschander“ ravine back to Castelbello. Return to the village centre at the bridge of Maragno. All year. Easy hike except for a short, but steep descent.
