Thanks to their idyllic and varied landscape the holiday resorts of Castelbello and Ciardes are able to meet the requirements of even the most demanding guests. The natural landscapes along the Adige river turn them into incomparable places that are unique for their variety.

The municipality of Castelbello-Ciardes covers an area of 5,386 ha and has about 2,500 inhabitants. It consists of the villages of Castelbello, Colsano, Ciardes, Juval and Montetrumes on the left side of the valley and Maregno, Lacinigo, Montefranco and Montefontana on the right side of the valley.

The village square with the municipality hall and the post office as well as a few shops for strolling can be found in Castelbello.

Ciardes is situated on a cone of debris. Until 1928, Ciardes was an autonomous municipality. The parish church consecrated to Saint Martin dates back to the first half of the 16th century.

Colsano is set on a small cone of debris between Castelbello and Ciardes.
